emma kate machugh

Emma was introduced to the sacred Japanese art of flower arranging, ikebana, during her time teaching English in rural Japan.  Returning to the US, she landed in Miami where her stunning floral designs that graced the homes of the South Beach elite. Returning to her roots in Connecticut, Emma brought her prodigious planning skills to Yale University before striking out on her own.

Emma believes that all flowers have an inherent beauty waiting to be revealed. She brings her diverse influences to life in whimsically elegant designs that capture the wonder of the natural world. 

Emma is a graduate the prestigious poetry program at Sarah Lawrence College, a trained practitioner of the Ryusei-Ha School of ikebana, and is certified by the Wedding Planning Institute. When not playing with flowers, Emma spends her time doing yoga, reading, and laughing with her daughter Madeline.
