Branford House Editorial Wedding in Soft Whites + Plum
A candlelit early-fall celebration set inside Branford House’s dramatic wood-carved interiors. Soft coastal light, crisp air, and a palette of whites with a single plum note created a mood that felt intentional, architectural, and quietly electric.
Personal flowers led with texture over color, with lush white blooms layered in soft mauve undertones and a single deep plum accent for emotional depth. The ceremony in Mystic featured understated, low altar arrangements in ivory, blush, local foliage, and gentle plum tones—romantic, refined, and intentionally minimal to let the moment shine.
Inside Branford House, layered candlelight met sculptural florals as long tables were styled with bud vases, tapers, pillars, and soft clusters of seasonal blooms. The grand mantle installation—lush, trailing, and dramatically candle-forward—anchored the room, blending repurposed ceremony flowers with a high-reaching composition that echoed the venue’s historic architecture. Elegant without being precious and deeply romantic without feeling sweet, this Branford House wedding is a study in confident, editorial design with timeless Connecticut coastal charm.
We can’t recommend Emma enough! From our bouquets to the larger arrangements and tablescapes, everything she created was absolutely beautiful. She was also a pleasure to work with—timely, communicative, and responsive to feedback. Thank you, Emma, for not only bringing our vision to life, but exceeding it!
