A Cherry Red and Blush Hilltop Garden Wedding at Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut
Wickham Park · Manchester, Connecticut
FALL · HILLTOP GARDEN CEREMONY · SET + STYLE · GARDEN · CLASSIC · BLUSH + CHERRY RED
When your ceremony spot comes with the Hartford skyline, you don’t need to build an arch. You just need to dress the one that’s already there. At the top of Wickham Park, we wound loose greenery up and over the iron arch at the Cabin Garden and set a single cluster of garden roses at the crown, in blush, pink and true cherry red. At the base of the iron gate, two low, planted-style arrangements of magenta and red blooms sat in local foliage. After the vows, they took up a second job in front of the sweetheart table. The bride carried a petite, gathered bouquet (Sofia Richie-sized, very on purpose) of spray and cottage roses, ranunculus and lisianthus, with one tiny, unexpected touch of blue. Under the tent, low garden-style centerpieces in whites and creams picked up pops of pink and red, and votives and greenery filled out every table. It was classic and a little sweet, with a view that did half the work.
