Picture this: sandy toes, salty air, and the sound of waves crashing in the distance. At First Blush, we're all about capturing that laid-back coastal vibe and infusing it into every bouquet and centerpiece. Say goodbye to stuffy traditions and hello to beachy bliss!
L + D were married ocean-side at The Owenago, a historic inn and beach club in Branford, CT, on a very windy September day. We were brought into their celebration initially as the floral designers and added our management services to help get them with the final details of their day.
We incorporated tall, whimsical delphinium, snapdragons, roses and luscious local greenery to create the perfect garden style pieces to add to the breath-taking view of the ceremony on the water. Blush roses and stunning local dahlias combined with white touches of lisianthus, spray roses, and wild wind-flowers were core components of the bridal bouquet and reception centerpieces. Each plate was set on a woven wicker charger and topped with a baby blue napkin and clam shell, hand-selected by the bride as a keepsake for all of the couple’s loved ones.
